A bunny for Noah
Do you remember me posting about this little guy here ? I finished him up on Sunday--while I was on the couch all day with some kind of flu bug. It was a brief illness thankfully, all better now. I tried my best to get a photo of bunny with his proud owner--but Noah is going through some phase right now where he says no to all photos. Hrumph. I'm so glad he forgot all about saying no for the wedding photos..whew. He does love him though, and threw himself into my lap with a squeal of glee when I handed him his new friend. The whole time I was stitching him together I couldn't help but picture him with a tie of some kind. I think the bow tie suits him well, yes?
He's made from some vintage wool that my sweet friend Laura sent who was my partner for Back Tack 2 . Thank you Laura! This wool was absolutely perfect. I wanted the stitching to be "rough". I thought that would be consistent with the original design--as in not polished, but like a child would do--not perfect.
I caught glimpses of 'bunny' today a few times flying through the air and then later noticed that he was sleeping with the cat. Noah said he was being snuggly-buggly with our kitty. That's all good. I like to see toys well played with and well loved. I stitched the tie on pretty tight in preparation for any flights across the room and other world travels :)
Thank you for all the nice comments on the wedding photos! I was happy to share them with you. And thanks for being so interested, that's so nice. If you were one of these , I have a package ready to ship to you in just a day or two.

It's funny as I was thinking about this bunny yesterday when Kitty drew one.I must do something similar with it!

Hi!
I think the bunny is so sweet and you're right with the "rough" look and the bow tie is the perfect detail. I didn't comment the wedding photos, there were so many already and saying the things I wanted to say! The photos are great, so natural, no poses, so happy forever!
I belong to one of "these"... And I'm surprised to see me in the group.

He's really cute. I can't wait until my little one draws a little bit better so I can try this.

I'm glad you are feeling better. It's hard for a mom to be sick! I love the new addition to your family. He's a sharp dresser with that bow tie!

Aww that's the sweetest! I've actually been wondering how this little guy turned out and what a neat surprise that he's made with some of the vintage wool I sent. Awwww. :)
I used some of that wool a few days ago (gray) to make a little catnip mouse to include with a gift to someone - it's perfect for a lot of things!
Hope you're feeling better. It's so rotten to be sick.

Greetings from down under,
I must say what a delighted it was to see such a divine wedding,I think it should be in a wedding magazine instead of these highly stressed out ceremonies... not saying that you hadn't had your fair share.... its a wedding that looks to have so much piece and shared love surrounding the happy couple....Wish them well for their future.
**You are also a very talented woman I am encouraged by your site.. maybe it will rub off..the talent that is hehehe** Thank you for sharing..

Toni this is priceless, I love that he was made as a family collaborative effort, and now played with and loved (even by the kitty). Just wonderful.

I have been waiting to see this finished, I thought it was just the most lovely thing to do and have been inspired to turn my sons art work in to something tactile. It is very sweet. Thank you for sharing it with us.
