Amy was right

Noah prefers a dishtowel for a tail

She said this might happen, and she was right. Noah prefers a dishtowel.  After my friend read the dishtowel post, she was so kind to bring over a scrap of furry black fabric for me to make a tail out of. I thought it was perfect. It could be used for so many different animals--mouse, cat, cougar, lion, etc.. No matter that the color was not just right for each of these animals--he was using a kitchen towel for crying out loud!

When I proudly presented him with the tail, he checked it over, tried it on and climbed up the post in the kitchen (I guess he was giving it a test-run) "Sooooo...how do you like it?" I said with a giant smile. He, with a not so giant smile, shrugged his shoulders and handed it back to me. "It's too long" was the reply. "What?!! It's perfect. Look, it makes an awesome black panther tail, no?" (trying to appeal to the 'boy' in him) He simply insisted that I hang on to it and said he preferred the dishtowel.

He has since found out that it makes a perfect whip to whack his sister with. Great.

Oh dear. I'm laughing with you, not at you, right? :-) I've made the same mistakes before.

I've been meaning to make little cat beds/sit upons, etc. for my cats since they immediately sit on any project I'm working on, shirt I need to iron, scrap of fabric I pull out... But I keep reminding myself that if I go to the trouble of making it they WILL NEVER sit on it.

Now that sounds just like a boy :)

Now Toni, He looks to cute to do something like that..LOL

isn't that ALWAYS how it goes-the more excited we are about something, the less excited they are! I think it's the perfect tail, momma! (and such a cute idea!!)

Oh.. such a cute story and a beautiful boy... and a nice soft whip.

but i bet being whipped with that soft, fluffy black tail is much nice than being whipped with a slightly wet dishtowel -- yeouch!

see? you're a good mommy.

Noah is just like kids that love the boxes more than the actual toys...my one son loves the plastic parts that comes over the hot wheel cars just about as much as the car itself! You have a handsome little one there...I have a 6 year old red headed boy too!

Lol ! Oh dear...
