Noticing the little things

love the shadows

I wasn't planning on posting today but, when I saw how pretty the shadows looked as I was getting ready to sew--well, I needed to take a picture. And besides, who else would appreciate a photo like this other then you guys!? Are you digging my vintage ironing board cover? Thrift store, 50 cents.

Still feeling the need to keep this particular project a secret, but I did give you a peek at one part that is finished. My little cactus guy sitting there next to a pretty pile that will soon take shape. Well, it's back to work...another deadline to meet.

I love all that green and the fabrics are wonderful! I like the shadows, too. The other day we had sparklies on our ceiling from the sun reflecting off dress-up clothes. I think it's neat to see special things in the everyday parts of our lives.

I want shadows! : )

Everything is coordinated so beautifully. I'm glad you snapped the shot to share.

Very, very nice! You were right to post this :)

Oh, how pretty! I've been working with that Amy Butler floral lately, so it really caught my eye.

i REALLY like your little cactus guy.

Oh, I just stumbled across your blog and I love it. What beautiful photos, and that cactus softie is gorgeous.

Why is my ironing board always so grungy? Everyone has cute covers and mine is just a professional weight muslin colored cover. Hmm.

Love the green-daisy ironing board cover! A pretty ironing board cover is a must for hours of cheery crafting. Can't wait to see what you're working on! Happy Days! :o)

I love how the cactus looks like he is thinking about his secret, smiling slightly, and hovering over his fabric. Really great.

Agreed. The fabrics and your vintage cover are gorgeous. Can't wait to see what you're making.

I love the cactus pincushions! I saw some a while back in the pincushion challenge, and have been thinking ever since that a cactus pincusion-or cactus anything-would be a great gift/swap/whathaveyou from me, because we live in San Antonio and have cacti in our yard, and all over the place here! Last year we decorated the two out front with Christmas lights!
