Didier Drogba: Whenever the topic of football comes to play, it’s inevitable to hear the word Didier Drogba being mentioned. He currently plays for Chelsea in the center forward position and has proved to be one of the world’s best player in this position. Having his roots in West Africa (Ivory Coast), Drogba has risen to be a champion to reckon with in the football arena.
He started his career at a tender age under the influence of his uncle who was a football coach. He moved from Ivory Coast to France where he joined Dunkirk in 1988 to pursue his career. Things didn’t work as he expected and he moved to various clubs in such of greener pastures. However it wasn’t long before he joined Guingamp that he came to the limelight after scrolling a maximum of 17 goals. After this he was recruited by Marseille and his prowess was further discovered and it was during this time that Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho came hunting for him offering a deal worth £24 million.
