The Canadian Grand Prix is here in Montreal as we have cold weather and rain. At least there are no student protests happening to get in the way of enjoying the race weekend. Instead it will be more than cool temperature and the possibility of rain for the entire weekend.

The sad thing about this race is there are rumors that this could be the last race in Montreal. The city of Montreal is in complete disarray having to deal with a massive corruption inquiry. These days Bernie Ecclestone is more concerned about getting paid rather than satisfying the needs of F1 fans. To date his biggest revenue earnings appear to be Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.
Fans love the Montreal race which for a while used to be the only event in North America. Thankfully there is the United States Grand Prix to balance things but the Montreal race really needs to stay. If it doesn't there is talk about having F1 in other parts of Canada namely British Columbia, Alberta and even in Ontario. A Toronto grand prix would be a marquee event and something any city in Canada should fight over having.
A rainy race won't be good for fans. It might become even more boring to watch with bad tyres already ruining the 2013 season and tickets are far from being sold out which is a real shame.
Next race is the British Grand Prix.
